Virginia AAA State Championship Tournament
February 19th and 20th

Westfield finishes third in the AAA Virginia State Championship tournament!

With Nick Grinups and Tanner Karl out of the tournament due to injuries sustained in the Northern Region tournament just two days earlier, it was a tough start for the Bulldogs.  However, our remaining wrestlers battled hard and at the end of the tournament, six of our grapplers had medaled. Austin Fallon won his second state championship title at 189 lbs, followed by Kyle Arnold’s third place finish at 140 lbs. John Orchard-Hays topped off his high school career with a fifth place finish at 130 lbs, Brett Campbell had placed sixth at 103 lbs, and Stephen Aiello and Harry Van Trees captured eighth place finishes at 112 lbs and 145 lbs, respectively.  Congratulations to these wrestlers and the entire Westfield team for their outstanding accomplishments!
