BULLDOG CREW:

Attached you will find two (2) separate Westfield Wrestling Fund Raisers that we initiated last year.

Just for a little budget background knowledge and to inspire the troops, please recognize that it takes about $10,000 per year to run the Westfield Wrestling program.  I know from years and years of first hand knowledge that fundraising is tedious, brutal, difficult, and many other adjectives that are not fit to print.  However, it is a necessary evil, and we need your help.

In lieu of selling products, car washes, wrestling grinds, etc. we have decided to try a few relatively new routes for fundraising this year, and they are explained below:

Attachment 1.  We will call this “Fundraiser - Letter Sent from Wrestlers.” -  The first attachment on this email is a one page document/letter /form that we would like each wrestler to send to family, friends, neighbors, etc. asking for donations.  The Westfield football program has used this method successfully for the past 10 years, and it has helped tremendously.  When sending out these requests (mail or hand delivery) please ask that if the recipient is able to contribute it would help to receive their contribution during the month of December.

Attachment 2.  The second attachment is called the “Fundraiser – Corporate Sponsor Form for Wrestling Team.” – This two page document (cover letter from Coach Hoskins and accompanying Sponsorship Confirmation Form) is to be sent or hand delivered to any business entity in the area (or beyond, if you are really good).  Mom and Dad, we know that the easiest route here is to take it to work and hit up the boss.  If you are the boss, that is even better.  This is by far the quickest and easiest way to hit each wrestlers fundraising goal.

Individual Fund Raising Goal, Per Wrestler:  based on this year’s turnout, it appears that we will have between 40 and 50 wrestlers in the program.  Based on these numbers, we would like to set a goal of $250 per wrestler in funds received plus additional corporate sponsorships if possible.  Please remember, this is a goal for which to strive.  If you go over that goal, you will be put in the spotlight, named on emails, patted on the back, thanked repeatedly and most importantly never ridiculed by me.  If you fall short of that goal, anything goes.   J

We really appreciate your help with this effort, and if you should have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks,

Dave Campbell
